ABS Warning Light
Contact our professional vehicle garage and get your ABS repaired as soon as possible.
What Does The ABS Warning Light mean?
This is an easy one to spot; ABS in a circle with two lines at the side. When the engine is not running this will light up on the dashboard but should switch off when you start the engine if everything is in working order.
If the light continues to stay on whilst you are driving this indicates a malfunction with your ABS braking system. You should always consult a professional vehicle garage and get your ABS braking fixed as soon as possible. In some cases, your car will be okay to continue, as normal braking should be maintained.
What Could Be Wrong?
ABS stands for anti-lock braking system, which is a safety mechanism to prevent your brakes from locking up and stop your car from skidding when the brake pedal is pressed. If the ABS light remains on when you start your engine this means that your ABS is deactivated, possibly because of a malfunction.
What Should I Do?
If your ABS warning light is on, it’s not a problem that will simply go away on its own. You should contact a professional vehicle garage and get your ABS repaired as soon as possible. Don’t take the chance and risk the potentially disastrous consequences of driving without properly working brakes. Contact MB Services or pop in for a quick, easy diagnosis from our expert team.
